Hi Puzzlers! I just finished a BEAST of a puzzle and yes, the pun was intended.
I love Disney, and Beauty and the Beast is my favorite. Belle is my preferred princess. She speaks her mind! She didn’t give up her voice for someone she just met (Sorry Ariel – I love your voice too much) and – Belle likes to read. I would hang out with her in a library any day.

That being said, I was never a huge fan of the other Ravensburger Disney puzzles. I was never excited about the images. However, I loved this one the second I saw it.

This was a challenge! I almost gave up a couple of times. For some reason, I couldn’t use the box. I am not sure what it was, but the image and the pieces did not connect with my eyes. So, I did this one without the box, and it took me a couple of weeks. I will save my Halloween puzzle for next year. The border was easy. After that, I was kind of lost. The right side of the puzzle was so dark and there is so much purple! I started with all the blue pieces and completed Belle’s book. Then I sorted out all the skin color pieces and put them aside. I did some of the purple on top but the colors started to blend with the Beast on the right and the Beast dancing with Belle. I completed Cogsworth and Lumiere and part of Belle’s dress. I also did the light blue in the rain on the left.

And then, I was left with the right side. Honestly, I did this by trying a piece at a time. Ravensburger doesn’t have unique shapes, so I sorted the pieces into 4 puzzle trays like these:

Then I tried a piece at a time until I had about 20 pieces left. I cheered when I placed the last piece.

This was one of the most difficult puzzles that I ever did but it is going on the wall. I don’t know why I couldn’t use the box image, but I couldn’t match anything up. Let me know if you have this experience if you try this puzzle.
Belle is the 2 nd in the Heroine series. I don’t have Snow White, maybe one day -

But I do have Ariel in my pile, she should be fun.

Let me know if you try these and what you think.
