It's easy to learn how to play Turnabout, but be forewarned; it's a lot harder to master...
The game consists of 32 identical playing pieces that can be placed at random onto any square on the playing board.
Each piece has two sides. One side consists of two curves and is used for making turns. The other side is cross-shaped and is used for going straight (no right angle turns are allowed at the centre of the cross).
One player takes the offensive role and attempts to create an unbroken path from one side of the playing board to the other, their opponent takes the defensive role trying to thwart the offence.
Each player takes turns playing one piece at a time until there are none left. As soon as the Offence reaches the other side they win, otherwise if they run out of pieces before hand the Defence wins. 
Players alternate roles each game; in what is an excellent and addictive strategy game!
