Happy
New Year to all our readers. We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday
season, and we wish you all the best for the coming
year.
We
were excited by the Sneak Peeks that we received at the end of last year
and are looking forward to the 2008 collections. We are starting to get
details of the new products from some of the manufacturers, and can't wait
for them to arrive.
Valentine's Day

The
new Heye 2008 collection is on its way and will be available for shipping
this week. It is the most diverse and one of the best yet!
Following
the success of the series of Fantasy Gothic art by Victoria Francés last
year, there are new haunting additions to her collection including Venice, Midnight and
Poison, and
in the 2000 piece size a stunning image called Leaves. There
are also puzzles from two new fantasy artists which includes Memory in
White by Luis Royo and Raven by Chris
Ortega.
In
the cartoon series there are new puzzles for you to enjoy. Adventure by
Prades and Books by
Kravarik have
1500 pieces, while Museum by
Barrientos has 2000 pieces. The 1000 piece series sees the return of many
of the best selling titles, some in a new size, from Mordillo, Ryba, Loup,
Blachon and Degano. Some are in the famous triangular box, while others
are now in a traditional box. Follow the links on the left to see all the
available titles.
Also in the 2008 collection, there are postcard
collages of Cats, Dogs and the South Seas,
puzzles featuring extracts from The Beatles album covers Sergeant
Pepper and Love Is All You
Need, and family puzzles with 700 extra large pieces with images from
Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Thing Are including The
King.
The nature artist
Marjolein Bastin has a new title called Birds and Rosina
Wachtmeister's abstract feline images delicately highlighted with gold
foil stamping include Mandolin and
Sun.
There is something for
all tastes and we are sure you will not be
disappointed. |

MATCHITECTURE |
The
long awaited new Matchitecture model of the Fire Engine
finally arrived just before the end of the year. Sadly it was not in time
for the holiday season, but with 1500 matchsticks, and measuring 42 cm
(16.5") long and 17 cm (6.7") high, it will still make a great winter
project. |

The 2008 collection of
Ceaco puzzles has started to arrive and there are some great new artists and an
intriguing new concept for you to try.
Well known Americana artist Bob Pettes has a
collection of 550 piece square puzzles which includes Strawberry
Sunday and Last Swim of
Summer that are sure to delight. There is also a new collection of
three Dockside puzzles, Swan's Cove,
Puffin
Point and Cat Lover's
Society.
Two new series of puzzles by Roger Nannini, a
well loved Americana artist are now in stock. There is a 300 oversize
piece collection with enchanting titles such as The Acme Cloud
Factory and Black Sheep Wool
Farm, and a set of 1000 piece puzzles which come in a keepsake tin,
which includes Sunnyside Egg
Ranch and Home of the Happy
Moo Cows.
Six new images from Thomas
Kinkade in the 1000 piece size are already proving popular, as is a
delightful new series of 750 pieces shimmer puzzles and a new 300 piece
cross shaped puzzle will not disappoint. Serenity

Popular camouflage artist Bev Doolittle has a
new series of 700 piece panoramic puzzles. Not only are they intriguing
for the hidden images, but titles such as Woodland
Encounter and Two Indian
Horses prove to be very challenging also.
There is also a new
concept in puzzles, the Pieceless Puzzle This revolutionary double sided
puzzle is unlike any other on earth. Made of soft flexible material, The
Pieceless Puzzle is actually one continuous strand of interconnecting
branches. There are two for you to try, one from The
Simpsons and one with
Thomas
